This is a 3 week (12 days) program. This program is limited to 12 children per session. Keep in mind that you can only participate in Learn To Sail for one season . After that you may enroll into our full summer program.

Beginner: The beginner class is for sailors who have little or no prior sailing experience. Knowledge of boat rigging, sailing terminology, basic sailing, water safety and confidence in handling all points of sail are emphasized. Sailors will develop skills to independently rig,
skipper and maintain their boats. Basic racing skills will be introduced.
Intermediate: Intermediate is for sailors who have successfully completed Beginners or equivalent. Sailors will be required to independently rig, skipper and maintain their boats. Students will continue to improve their sailing and racing skills through drills and racing. Racing rules, tactics, boat safety and fun are emphasized. Local regattas are part of the program.

Advanced: Advanced is geared toward honing racing tactics, boat handling maneuvers, correct sail trim and expanding knowledge of the racing rules. Sailors will work to tune boat handling and racing skills. Sail trim for speed will be stressed as well as regatta preparation. All racers in this class will be expected to compete in local regattas.
