Junior Race Program

Purpose & Mission Statement

Purpose: The purpose of the Hull Yacht Club Junior Race Program is to involve as many young people as possible in the sport of sailing through a fun and safe educational atmosphere. Our goal is to keep juniors involved in sailing as their skills develop and grow over the years. To insure that the program runs smoothly for this season and beyond, we rely on the support and effort of our junior sailors, their parents and even their grandparents. Our program uses N10's, Opti's and 420's.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Hull YC Junior Race Program is to introduce young sailors to the sport of sailing and instill in our youth an understanding of the responsibilities and rewards of safe boat handling in an environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, seamanship and camaraderie throughout all aspects of yachting. Develop strong basic sailing skills as the foundation for life-long enjoyment on the water. Allow young sailors to enjoy success in competitive and recreational sailing, as they choose. Our goal is to keep juniors involved in sailing as their skills develop and grow over the years, and to produce the best sailors on the South Shore.
